Hi. Nope not doing any 3D Windowing. Just a plain everyday install. No, I am
not running Compiz.
KDE4:- Alt-F3 did nothing. A right click on the desktop brought up a menu that
had, as one of it selections, Desktop Settings. Configure Window Behavior was
not a selection in these options. I tried to access the application selections
through the Lizard head at the far left of the task bar, where I know is
another means of accessing Window Behavior. I could not get a list of
selections. All they would do is Flash. Even on a double click. Here in KDE4 I
could not get any kind of a menu from th Task bar. At the most, just a flash of
the menu.
If I right clicked on the Desktop, I could get a menu. If I right clicked on
the Window labeled Desktop, I could get a menu. If I right clicked on any of
the icons, I could get a menu.
A left click on Dolphin or Konqueror would activate the programs. Also a left
click on the exit Button would allow me to logout.
KDE3:- Alt-F3 did nothing. I was able to access Window Behavior through the
Lizard on the Task Bar and Kwin's Composting was not a selection. The menus on
the windows and icons worked normally via a right click. Right clicking on the
task bar, however, would not produce a menu UNLESS you double right clicked at
the correct speed OR had previously right clicked on an icon and showed its
menu. At this point in time, all ops in KDE3 seem to be ok except for accessing
a menu via a right click on the task bar.
