https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=424161 Summary: Default entry for DISPLAYMANAGER_RANDR_MODE_auto does not follow xorg.conf entries Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: --- The default resolution of my netbook is 1024x600. However, the Displaymanager login uses a default resolution of 1024x768 as denoted in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager (DISPLAYMANAGER_RANDR_MODE_auto entry). It would be very helpful if this default would refer to the default resolution that is used in /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Otherwise the selection menu on the left lower edge of the screen (which windowmanager to start, which session to use) is not useable because the entries vanish below the viewed screen. It took me quite some time to find out how to modify this. Thank you for looking into this issue, take care Dieter Jurzitza -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
