https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=422073 Summary: python-bindings: do not force UI type in ycp.init_ui Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Alpha 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: juhliarik@novell.com ReportedBy: jsuchome@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- init_ui () function requires the UI type as an argument (http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/python-bindings-UI). This is bad, since it is present in the code and the coder cannot say which UI will be used. With YCP, we are used to call e.g. /sbin/yast2 users /sbin/yast2 is able to decide which UI to use (if it wasn't specified explicitely) and passes this information to /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base binary. So the python script should also be able to get such info from YaST. Well, this applies when the python script is called via yast, just like /sbin/yast2 test.py -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
