I have attached the requested info. I plugged this in to a widescreen LCD tv
and booted into runlevel 3. I then logged in as root and ran "sax2 -r".
Sax suggested a screen resolution, and I clicked "Change". I then told it the
monitor was an LCD with the properties "1280x800@60Hz". I then clicked "Save"
when prompted (I didn't bother with "Test").
Letting the system start normally on the next boot showed that it had set
itself to a resolution of 1024x768 despite what I had chosen in SaX2.
I have considered the possibility that this could be an aspect ratio issue...
perhaps the system will not allow the resolution to be non-4:3?
