--- Comment #36 from Stefan Schueffler 2008-08-26 09:04:19 MDT ---
The ipmitool just shows what i expected:
booting native kernel, or booting my patched xen-kernel, there are no entries
in the sel-log.
Booting unpatched xen kernel, the log entries added are (line 2 and 3)
1 | 08/21/2008 | 13:43:15 | Event Logging Disabled #0x72 | Log area
reset/cleared | Asserted
2 | 08/26/2008 | 16:47:27 | Processor #0x0d | Transition to Non-recoverable
3 | 08/26/2008 | 16:47:31 | Processor #0x60 | IERR | Asserted
4 | 08/26/2008 | 16:48:30 | Processor #0x60 | IERR | Deasserted
Booting patched version or native then again inserts one entry (line 4). As you
can see, i cleared the sel-log on 08/21/2008, but all entries before this date
were the same as line 2, 3 and 4 repeatedly and originated from the many
boot-and-test-cycles.
By the way: booting my patched xen kernel does boot up the machine, but i am
not able to start virt-manager or virt-viewer. No log-entries, no error
messages, but it just does nothing:
linux10:~ # virt-manager
linux10:~ #
so, i am not sure if my patch has any negative impact on the behaviour of xen
itself....
