https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402490 Summary: YaST2: adding plugins to user administration doesn't work as expected Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: christian.jaeger@rub.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- When I tried to add the fingerprint-plugin in the plugins-dialogue for User & Group Management (--> users --> edit --> plugins) in YaST, (according to http://en.opensuse.org/Using_Fingerprint_Authentication) clicking on 'add or remove plugin' didn't open the appropriate dialogue but gave an error message that in order to use the quote-plugin (the only one installed at the time) I first would have to do something in the partitioner. Several attempts failed. It wasn't until I rebooted and opened the User Management dialogue again, that I suddenly found the fingerprint-plugin was installed! I didn't add it manually, I think activating the fingerprint-reader in YaST did that. So, while everything seems to work out in the end, the process is now clearly a mess and very confusing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
