https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=401247 Summary: famd has got a memory leak, making it unusable as IDLE anhancement for courier imap Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: christian.fertig@consense-service.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- famd consumes all memory after a few days, if courier imap with activated IDLE extension is used. Sometimes it crashes too. There seems to be missing a destructor in src/DNotify.c++ Check this debian bug report: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=09_fix_leak.patc... I've tested with openSuSE 10.2, but for testing the patch, I took the src-rpm from openSuSE 11.0 final (and installed the rebuilt rpm in 10.2). In both source variants this patch is missing. I think it should be included in the distribution, as the source is really trivial and the bug is obvious Christian P.S.
