https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=400521 Summary: Shutdown fails when running on XEN kernel Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: funtasyspace@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- System: HP Compaq 6510b Business Notebook System: openSUSE 11.0 RC3 When I boot the system using the XEN kernel, the system never shuts down properly. As soon as the X-Session is terminated the system freezes and the screen stays black, but the backlight is still on. The system doesn't react to any keyboard input, switching virtual consoles doesn't work, Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't help either. I don't think that any of the other shutdown scripts are executed, because the HDD led doesn't show any activity right after X is terminated. The only option left is to press the power button for more than 4 seconds. When booting the normal (Non-XEN) kernel I don't experience this problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
