Maybe the live cd can't handle all options but I don't see letting the user
encrypt the home and swap partitions and then just not mounting them with no
sort of error message as a viable solution. The system then tries to create a
new user account in the /home mountpoint which confuses the issue further
because the real /home was not mounted. The correct solution would be to
install pam_mount as part of the HD install via internet if any of the
partitions are encrypted.
Expecting the user to know they need to add a repository and install pam_mount
before clicking on the "install" icon is unrealistic. The average user is
going to do exactly what I did...boot off the cd..play with it for a few
minutes and then hit the HD install icon.
