https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=398138 Summary: After install LiveCD and DVD have different repo setups Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium AssignedTo: coolo@novell.com ReportedBy: jpr@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- After install LiveCD and DVD have different repo setups, specifically from a DVD install, openSUSE-11.0-Updates is enabled with auto refresh and factory, factory-non-oss and openSUSE-DVD 11.0 are enabled and factory-debug is present. From a Live CD install (GNOME and KDE), openSUSE-11.0-Oss, openSUSE-11.0-Non-Oss and openSUSE-11.0-Updates are listed but none are enabled or refreshed. This means that in the GNOME and KDE DVD case the updater message about wanting to install updates is wrong (you don't need to run piwo afaict other than that the KDE updater appears not to show you updates until you atleast launch piwo). For GNOME gpk-update-icon does not show an icon unless there are updates, so if we need to turn off the nag dialog if the user says "no" (I think we do, Scott is fixing that asap), we may leave regular users uncertain how to turn updates back on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
