https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=379968 Summary: Opensuse updater, updates counter location Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: fabricelemaistre@free.fr QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: fabricelemaistre@free.fr Found By: Other Hello, in openSuse 10.3 it'd be nice to have a little feature added in openSUSE updater (osu). The counter of updates is already in place but to access it you need to right click on the osu icon and then click on restore to know how much updates are available for download. So, the information is already available but the idea is to provide it in a more convenient way that would avoid these clicks all the time and provide an interesting information to the end user in order to know very quickly when it's interesting to update (or not). It would be nice if hovering the mouse over the osu icon gave the number of updates available for download. And even better if a pop up could show the new number of updates when it changes. NB : This pop up function should also be easily powered off , as potentially intrusive/disturbing. You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
