Tried this advice:
"I have a faint idea what might be going on. /boot/vmlinux does not
exist, it might be called something like /boot/vmlinux-ps3. Before the
bootloader installation you might create a symlink ln -s
/boot/vmlinux-ps3 /boot/vmlinux. Please make a bug report and assign the
bug directly to me. That's the right way to handle it and keeps track of
progress."
I did this to test it:
Re-launched the installation, formatted disk (tried both lvm and normal
partitioning just in case - no difference)
awaited error as in initial description, went to a terminal to make link as
suggested, but all instances of a boot directory were empty. 0 files in any
(???-)/boot I could find. Did the mount get lost or what?
I did not take notes at which /boot were avail, but at least
/boot
but also 2 others
They were all links to
/mounts/xxx
But again no files in them.
