https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=377553 Summary: Build Service: osc meta pattern -e is unclear Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hpj@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I went to create a pattern for my packageset, so I could publish a nice 1-click install button on my blog. I used: osc meta pattern -e glib2 glib2 I now know these are bad arguments, but I didn't at the time. It gave me an editor and I wrote a pattern. Then, when I exited the editor, I got this: Sending meta data... Cannot save meta data. Unknown error. HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error Try again? (yY = Yes - nN = No): I answered y and reviewed my pattern, and didn't find anything wrong with it. Emacs also verified that the XML was well-formed. In the end I had to answer "no" to the "Try again?" question. This left me with no obvious way to recover the pattern I'd written. In the end I pulled it out of /tmp/, but this is not ideal. osc should tell you that the project you're referring to doesn't exist, or otherwise indicate what's wrong with the arguments. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
