https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=377474 Summary: Unable to set additional IP when using network manager Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mlemos@acm.org QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I have a notebook with a Ethernet card and a Wireless card. When I am in the office I plug the cable in the Ethernet card to a LinkSys Wireless router that also works as an Ethernet hub. It uses DHCP to pick a dynamic IP and the DNS (from my ISP) but I also set an additional fixed IP so it can easily be connected by other machines by ssh using fixed IP. When I am around our place I wanted to use the wireless connection to the same LinkSys router, but it seems that I can only use it with NetworkManager. However when using the network manager I cannot assign the wireless interface an additional fixed IP, like I can when not using the Network Manager. It should be possible to set fixed IP addresses even when using the NetworkManager, but it isn't. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
