As far as I know I don't use jumbo frames, but as the PC is connected to a
large LAN with broadband Internet access, a bradcast packet storm (or similar)
is quite possible. The value for /proc/sys/vm/min_free_kbytes is "2491" at the
moment for 384MB RAM. I wonder whether the network driver that received a
denial of memory should log that fact to syslog, or is it the protocol stack
that allocates that memory?
