There have been patches added in 2.6.25 kernel to autoload the driver.
You can try one from here:
Oh, this is 10.3, you can try a kernel from our ftp site (I can point you to it
if you want to try), but IMO it's better to simply try out the next 11.0 Beta
(not this one, this one is still 2.6.24 based and does not include the changes
yet).
Or if you do not have enough space on your disk or whatever you could try the
next 11.0 Live-DVD and check whether the toshiba driver gets loaded
automatically.
If it still does not work, please attach dmidecode output of the machine and I
can add your BIOS info so that it matches and the driver gets loaded and send
the stuff upstream...
AFAIK next 11.0 Beta should come out around 18.th of March, opensuse.org can
tell you more.
