The latest patch worked. Now I get the proper GRUB menu after rebooting.
Here are the contents of /boot/grub/menu.lst
timeout 10
gfxmenu (hd0,0)/boot/message
title 2.6.16.54-0.2.5-default [ OEM ]
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda2 vga=0x314 splash=silent
resume=/dev/hda4 COMBINED_IMAGE=local showopts
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd
title Failsafe -- 2.6.16.54-0.2.5-default [ OEM ]
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda2 vga=0x314 splash=silent
COMBINED_IMAGE=local showopts ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off noresume selinux=0
nosmp noapic maxcpus=0 edd=off
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd
I have one query though. Is it normal for the "kiwiboot" partition (/dev/hda1)
to be not mounted automatically ? In my case I only see the /read-only
(/dev/hda2) and /read-write (/dev/hda3) mounted automatically.
