https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=362587 Summary: Filesystem mounted read only Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mgiammarco@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other I started from an opensuse 10.2 never updated (no internet). Filesystem is reiserfs. I have done an update with a dvd of opensuse 10.3, without errors. At next boot kde did not start (cannot write...) and I cannot login to terminal prompt due to filesystem mounted read only. I have rebooted with "single" option and the filesystem is mounted readwrite. I have checked fstab, mtab and menu.lst and it seems all ok. So I gave "init 5" and I discovered that now file system is read only again. It seems that some scripts in the boot procedure are remounting the file system read only. Please help me. Thanks in advance for interest. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
