This is not as easy to reproduce as I thought.
If I open OpenOffice and start a new writer document everything works fine.
Even the document in questions works fine after that.
However, if I open the document this happens with with OpenOffice, this bug
does also occur for any other new documents started until OpenOffice is closed.
I tracked it down to one pragraph and I think there is some funny character in
there that triggers this.
To reproduce do the following: Close everything OpenOffice related. Right-click
on the document, choose open with... OpenOffice. Go to File > Print > print
page 9, since the "ß" is on there. The "ß" in the last word is printed as
"fl".
Now go to page 5 and remove the text that is still on it. Save the document
with another filename and close all of OpenOffice. Right-click the new document
and open it with OpenOffice, print page 9 as described above and it prints
fine.
So the issue must be somewhere in that paragraph.
