Doesn't work. But there is a tool called "ufiformat" which works.
It's available here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/pley/openSUSE_10.3/
And there is also a kdeutils-package with a patch for kfloppy.
But you will need access to /dev/sgX. To grant access I've created another
small package:
hal-addon-alc. That one is not so nice, but it works for me. ;-)
Output of sg_format:
martin@martin:~> sg_format --format /dev/sdb
NEC USB UF000x 1.60 peripheral_type: disk [0x0]
Mode sense (block descriptor) data, prior to changes:
No block descriptors present
A FORMAT will commence in 10 seconds
ALL data on /dev/sdb will be DESTROYED
Press control-C to abort

try '-v' for more information
