--- Comment #9 from Stefan Schubert 2007-11-27 06:44:34 MST ---
Sorry my fault. Next try:
Due a requirement the package java-1_5_0-sun-plugin will be updated with arch
i586:
(U__s_[S9:1][package]java-1_5_0-sun-plugin-1.5.0_update13-0.5.i586) upgrades
I__s_[S0:0][package]java-1_5_0-sun-plugin-1.5.0_update13-0.3.i586
This requires jre-1.5.0-sun-32 == 1.5.0_update13-0.5
This will only be supported by java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update13-0.5.i568 and NOT
by java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update13-0.5.x86_64
This would be cause an update from
java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update13-0.5.i586 to
java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update13-0.3.x86_64
An architecture change is not allowed here.
Your installed package java-1_5_0-sun-plugin-1.5.0_update13-0.3.i586 HAS
ALREADY the unfulfilled requirement:
<dep name='jre-1.5.0-sun-32' op='==' version='1.5.0_update13' release='0.3'
kind="package" />
So it does not fit on your system. Due the force of not changing the
architecture while this update you are running into this problems.
Have you tried the first solution ?:
"Make a solver run with ALL possibilities."
Then you should get at least a solution like:
"xyz provides foo but has another architecture. Shall I use it ?"
I hope I have not missed anything;-)
