--- Comment #8 from Lukas Ocilka 2007-11-08 03:24:48 MST ---
* openSUSE 10.3 DVD - Qt
Works as expected: Switching between dynamic and static network
setup works correctly, I was able to enter and use static setup.
* openSUSE 10.3 KDE CD - ncurses (text mode)
Works as expected: By default, dhcp is preselected, pressing "Alt+s"
to enable "_S_tatic Address Setup", after that, I'm definitely able to
enter "IP Address", Netmask, Default Gateway and DNS Server.
Just a reminder: By default, Numlock is _off_ and Static Address Settings
accept only numbers and dots [0123456789.]+ which means that using numeric
keypad for entering digits doesn't work. I ran into that problem at first which
looked as if it was impossible to enter any IP address. Of course, that
textentry needs to be focused.
If I textentry is highlighted (enabled), it's also possible to write into it. I
was unable to reproduce it and Matej can't provide any input anymore.
Closing as *WORKSFORME* for being unable to reproduce the error (also no
duplicate bugreports were reported).
Please, check whether the problem is really in installation. If it is, provide
exact information how to reproduce it and try to debug it a bit (try anything
:)). If you do so, please, *REOPEN* the bug and attach YaST logs.
It should be always possible to attach YaST logs -> switching to console 2
(Alt+F2 resp, Ctrl+Alt+F2 works always). See http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Bugs
