https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=337409 Summary: Force model=laptop option to soundcard options Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: pavel.sefranek@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- This bug is related to snd-hda-intel soundcard and maybe to any other (not tested). There is a support for checking if there is some external sound "device" plugged (headphones, speakers, external amplifier etc.). But this is done only when the option model=laptop is forced to /etc/modprobe.d/sound. Then you will get an expected laptop behaviour -- mute internal speakers when external is plugged. So if openSUSE detects that you're running laptop with that sound card, it will add this option to /etc/modprobe.d/sound file. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
