I don't know how to do what you say. As you can see in the boot.msg my boot
options are (there's no indication of brokenmodules=pata_amd whatever):
###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux###
title openSUSE 10.3
root (hd0,2)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.22.9-0.4-default
root=/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_Maxtor_6V200E0_V40PT44G-part7 vga=0x31a
resume=/dev/sda2 splash=silent showopts
initrd /initrd-2.6.22.9-0.4-default
I passed the 'brokenmodules' switch ONLY when I upgraded from 10.2-->10.3, as
the linuxrc suggested. Maybe with Insmod and ForceInsmod?
Find attached the results of lspci -nnvvvxxx with the current configuration (I
suppose w/ amd74xx)
