I can confirm, T42p generates an ACPI event, T41p does not, even with the
latest BIOS. I don't have experience with 10.2, it was running 10.1 and this
worked.
Thomas, just to please you, I've opened up the cover and cleaned fan and
everything related. It was very clean before, now you can use it in surgery.
The result remains the same. Under load, the T41p quickly reaches the critical
state and is shut down. This has been reproduced on two different machines.
To illustrate what happens have a look at the text file I'll attach. It shows
you
"Temperatur : CPU frquency" at a line, the samples are taken every second.
You'll see, it takes less than a Minute until shutdown.
I understand the thermal design of this model isn't very good. However, please
consider this as a regression. It definitely worked before 10.3.
