--- Comment #6 from Stephen Shaw 2007-10-08 17:04:10 MST ---
Did you use the gtk interface or the qt?
the 2 entries in grub are definitely different. And you have the 2 xen kernels
installed. The reason that one works and not the other is you don't have the
matching linux kernel to one of the entries.
On the box that Jack listed: RPMS
linux-ogml:/boot # uname -a
Linux linux-ogml 2.6.22.5-31-xen #1 SMP 2007/09/21 22:29:00 UTC i686 i686 i386
GNU/Linux
linux-ogml:/boot # rpm -q kernel-pae
package kernel-pae is not installed
linux-ogml:/boot # rpm -q kernel-default
kernel-default-2.6.22.5-31
linux-ogml:/boot # rpm -q kernel-xen
kernel-xen-2.6.22.5-31
linux-ogml:/boot # rpm -q kernel-xenpae
kernel-xenpae-2.6.22.5-31
linux-ogml:/boot #
GRUB:

kernel /boot/xen-pae.gz
This is the xen pae version missing matching linux kernel

This one has a matching linux kernel installed
From what I can tell, the menu is created correctly. No problem there, however
either you install both kernel-xen and kernel-xenpae by accident or the pattern
is too inclusive. This is why I'm interested in more details about how you
installed it. I need specifics.
