One way to avoid such an *error* is to remove index option in YaSt setting.
This might result in the unexpected device order, but at least, there will be
no error.
As a better solution, I'll try to add a kernel patch for a new option "slots"
for snd module (not for each card module). With this, you can remove index
option gracefully.
It would work like:
options snd slots=snd-emu10k1
Then, the first slot is *reserved* for emu10k1, and the other devices will skip
this even loaded before emu10k1. Hence, YaST would need only change this line
when added/removed devices. For multiple devices, it would be like:
options snd slots=xxx,yyy,zzz
But, as mentioned, it's rather for openSUSE 11.0 stuff...
