https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=307429#c7 --- Comment #7 from Lenz Grimmer <lenz@grimmer.com> 2007-09-05 12:02:42 MST --- Answering Comment #3 - Not sure what you mean by "on purpose" - my WLAN card used to be supported by the ipw2200 driver module, which I am still using on my running 10.3b3 (from factory) system right now. Do you suppose that this iwl3945 driver would support this card as well? I was not able to find a kernel module with that name. According to lspci, it's an Intel 2200BG card: 02:02.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection (rev 05) If this new driver supports this card as well, you might want to consider updating the hardware detection library for it. Right now it still defaults to the ipw2200 driver: 74: None 01.0: 10701 Ethernet [Created at net.125] Unique ID: L2Ua.ndpeucax6V1 Parent ID: JNkJ.yFKtihCJThD SysFS ID: /class/net/eth1 SysFS Device Link: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1e.0/0000:02:02.0 Hardware Class: network interface Model: "Ethernet network interface" Driver: "ipw2200" Driver Modules: "ipw2200" Device File: eth1 HW Address: 00:0e:35:45:2f:49 Link detected: yes Config Status: cfg=new, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Attached to: #30 (WLAN controller) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
