Sorry I should have mentioned that in comment #2.
I can switch screens and yes there is some output on tty3 and 4 and tty 9 I can
cd to /var/log/YaST2 but it is empty.
On tty3 the only things that look to be interesting are
insmod: error inserting '/modules/speedstep-centrino.ko': -1 No such device
and
..powernow-k7.ko': -1 No such device
Then at the bottom of the screen it says:
repository: looking for cd:/
repository: using cd:/
no openSUSE repository found
Automatic setup not possible
on tty4 the last line reads
end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0
If I boot with the option "brokenmodules=ahci" then it works correctly. Info
found in bug 301680. Maybe Beta 3 addresses this issue?
