The fixed XEmacs package for openSUSE 10.2 is available here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/M17N/openSUSE_10.2/
*But please note*:
The package I am building in the build service have Xft support
enabled!
Currently, Xft support in XEmacs cannot be enabled or disabled at
runtime, only at compile time. If Xft is enabled, one can only use
fonts via fontconfig/Xft, if it is not enabled, one can only use fonts
via the X11 core font system.
Xft support in XEmacs is still very experimental, therefore I will not
yet enable it in openSUSE 10.3.
But I enable it in the build service to make it easy for people who
would like to test how XEmacs works with Xft to get an Xft build of
XEmacs.
The font setup is still quite difficult with an Xft XEmacs, therefore
I have added
/usr/share/xemacs/site-packages/lisp/suse-xft-init.el
which tries to achieve a reasonably good default font setup.
This file is still quite experimental as well.
If you would like to try the Xft support in XEmacs, I would appreciate
any feedback.
