The only real 'bug' I can see is that the forced refresh downloads everything
agian.
I guess thats a tradeoff in the current implementation. Please be aware that
the refresh behaviour was discussed a couple of times on public mailing lists.
I currently see four refresh scenarious
- refresh within the 'dont check period'
Making an online connection to check the repo does not make much sense if its
done every couple of minutes. So zypp has a 'dont refresh' period, configurable
in /etc/zypp.conf.
- refresh outside the 'dont check period'
Go online, check for changes and download changed files
- explicit refresh by user
- forced refresh by user
The confusion seems to be over the latter two, where we have two scenarios to
cover:
- user wants refresh even within the 'dont refresh' period
- user has hosed its local copy and wants a complete, fresh download
