This behaviour reappears in 10.3 beta1:
Could not rename partial file
/var/tmp/kdecache-rplewe/kcal/kresources/NwwqArkOhJ.
Please check permissions.
Those messages apparently happen for both korganizer, kontact and possibly even
korgac (I had them in three "piles" on my desktop this morning).
