This may be caused by very small io tlb size, as stated here
(http://ivtvdriver.org/pipermail/ivtv-users/2006-June/002940.html) for another
kernel driver.
<6>Software IO TLB enabled:
<4> Aperture: 2 megabytes
<4> Kernel range: c097a000 - c0b7a000
<4> Address size: 24 bits
<4>vmalloc area: cc800000-fb7fe000, maxmem 34000000
<6>Memory: 168824k/190112k available (1727k kernel code, 12784k reserved, 716k
data, 172k init, 0k highmem)
<4>virtual kernel memory layout:
<4> fixmap : 0xfbd37000 - 0xfbfff000 (2848 kB)
<4> pkmap : 0xfb800000 - 0xfbc00000 (4096 kB)
<4> vmalloc : 0xcc800000 - 0xfb7fe000 ( 751 MB)
<4> lowmem : 0xc0000000 - 0xcb9a8000 ( 185 MB)
<4> .init : 0xc0369000 - 0xc0394000 ( 172 kB)
<4> .data : 0xc02afc01 - 0xc0362c78 ( 716 kB)
<4> .text : 0xc0100000 - 0xc02afc01 (1727 kB)
I will try kernel parameter "swiotlb=32M" on monday...
