I just saw that I have the same problem using CAT6 ethernet (module e1000); it
is thus not a wifi driver problem. Interestingly, using "ping servername" it
reports that "servername" can not be found whereas "host servername" works.

I still need to verify that the update to beta 1 worked correctly maybe
(presumably) this is only a local problem.
