If we can do it without a penalty in usability, fine. Otherwise it's not worth
it.
Decreasing boot time is a very worthy goal IMO, but the gain here is probably
infinitesimally small. And there are just not enough similar gains to be had
for this to make sense.
If we _really_ want to achieve measurable results, we have to attack the
problem were there are large gains to be had, namely hardware probing and disk
seeking, and possibly the CPU time taken up by the boot scripts themselves.
But you probably know much more about this, so I'll shut up ;)
