Two problems: Suspend to RAM via closing the LID only works every second time. So, close the lid, nothing happens, close it again - and the system goes to sleep.
I can reproduce it here. HAL somehow gets confused with the LID state and updates its internal state only after every second LID close. lshal | grep button.state.value reports button.state.value = false (bool) After closing and opening the LID, HAL reports button.state.value = true (bool) I'll have to take a deeper look.. I checked with a HAL from git, and I see the same behaviour there.
Waking up from Suspend to RAM only works properly if I have not done a Suspend-to-Disk so far. Once I Suspend to disk, the next time I suspend-to-RAM, I have to hit the on/off button to wake the system up.
