https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=274042 ------- Comment #9 from HANtwister@comcast.net 2007-05-15 18:26 MST ------- The 'P' option is only documented to the extent of it's use with the 'h' option, as far as the man page goes. shutdown -hP now is supposed to shutdown the computer (power down), and shutdown -P now isn't documented, but it will, at least on openSuSE 10.3, put the computer into 'maintence' mode (a.k.a. runlevel 1).
