https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=259685 ------- Comment #2 from vkrevs@yahoo.com 2007-04-01 03:19 MST ------- Hi. I've made some progress with this issue. My KDE session is configured to automatically start gnome-settings-daemon via a symlink in .kde/Autostart/. If I remove this symlink, log off, and log in again, then gnome-settings-daemon is not running, and KDE screensavers starts as expected and everything works fine. However, when gnome-settings-daemon is running under KDE (either having been started via the symlink or as a result of starting any Gnome/GTK application), KDE screensaver appears t be disabled and Gnome screensaver takes over. If I disable gnome screensaver completely via gnome-screensaver-preferences, then no screensavers start ever. If I configure gnome-screensaver to start in 8 minutes, then it starts in 8 minutes. So the bug really is that gnome-screensaver appears to disable the KDE screensaver, and its doubtfull that any KDE user would want that. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
