https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=253422 Summary: dvd's and vcd's not detected Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: novell@skewray.com QAContact: qa@suse.de When a video DVD or VCD is inserted into the drive, no 'new media detected' popup appears under KDE. If I try 'mplayer vcd://' or 'mplayer dvd://', mplayer just hangs. Inserting a software DVD works fine. The same hardware under 10.1 worked fine. Inserting new media resulted in a popup. Mplayer from the command line would play the media just fine under 10.1. Currently /dev/dvd and /dev/dvdrecorder are soft links to /dev/hdc. There are no links in /media. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
