Try shutting down the PC using kickoff and the keyboard with no mouse.
Erm, easy? Open up the menu, <TAB> to the LEAVE tab, and then press <UP> to Shutdown. --- Now, with regard to the mockup -- I think it's a nice effort but I really don't like many (most) things with it, as I've already mentioned on IRC. To summarise: (i) The whole selection with the clock is useless. Kicker already has a clock. (ii) I don't like the "previous" (that is, the "left bar") method suggested there. It is inconsistent with the way the rest of the menu works, and hence completely unnecessary. Your reason mentioned for using it presumes that a user does not have a default kicker setup. A bad presumption. If you have it in a 100% sized kicker, you won't experience any issues with mistaken clicks. (iii) KDE uses the crystal icon theme by default in KDE 3. To use any other icons (apart from crystal-like ones) would be very inconsistent. (iv) I don't like the "Search Index" and "Search Web" options, since they're unnecessary. The whole point of the search is that it's dynamic, and those buttons imply that you're mean to click on them to search. Finally, you're saying that Kickoff should be ultra configurable in its look, but I completely disagree with this. Kickoff should be configurable within the bounds of KDE. It's not some cheap ripoff application for people to add ugly and inconsistent "skins". It's a KDE applet/application. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
