Todays users might expect a decent Linux distribution still to have licensing issues for playback. But if that is known to developers it is very strange the users are not even helped with information mentioning this nor information where to put codecs to make it work. The current implementation is a striped down version of Totem lacking adjustments to make is user friendly in this implementation. Fi, it is the default player for Gnome but only warns a codec can nog be found if the users tries to play a common video/audio format SuSE has no official codecs for.
