https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231746 jg@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |NEEDINFO Info Provider| |sargon@lordsargon.com ------- Comment #6 from jg@novell.com 2007-02-15 06:24 MST ------- Initial comment: OpenSUSE's grub sets the PROFILE parameter depending on the profile you chose in the boot screen. This will probably overwrite the PROFILE parameter you placed in menu.lst, so it gets ignored. If you do not want the grub profile selector, just set WRITE_BOOT_CONFIG to "no" in /etc/sysconfig/scpm (you need to trigger an SCPM action which writes the boot info afterwards, like profile switching or reloading). Comment 4: Hm, works for me. Do you see any output of the SCPM boot script when booting? It should read "Restoring profile ...". It gets also logged to /var/log/boot.msg, so you can still check it after booting. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
