https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=244446 Summary: screen is locked although kcontrol-settings should be "overwritten" Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de If one enables in kcontrol "lock after x seconds" for the screensaver but disables "start screensaver" the "lock after x seconds" is greyed out and should hence not be used. However, kpowersave starts the screensaver (bug 244441) and thereby enables the "lock after x seconds", which does not make sense since this setting is neither enabled in kpowersave nor kcontrol. So there are several possiblities: - Do not use the setting from kcontrol, i.e. "lock after x seconds" is not available, if "use special screensaver settings" in kpowersave is enabled, even if it is enabled (and greyed out) in kcontrol. - Use the setting from kcontrol, if "enable screensaver" in kcontrol is activated. - Provide the "lock after x" seconds setting in the kpowersave-GUI and ignore kcontrols if "special ..." is activated. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
