https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=244309 Summary: DVD device not longer found after installing 10.2 Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: fabian.herschel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de While it worked fine with SL9.2 and SL9.3 i miss my DVD device after installing opensuse 10.2. While other bugs are reporting problems with changed symlinks or udev rooles I guess my problem is even deeper, while i do not longer find the device using hwinfo. If fissable I could add a complete hwinfo dump from SL93 and 10.2. There are also some error messages when running hwinfo during the output of the ide driver (ata_piix) like ---- snip --- <4>ACPI Error (dsopcode-0481): Attempt to CreateField of length zero [20060707] <4>ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [_SB_.PCI0.SATA.ADJ_] (Node dffe639c), AE_AML_OPERAND_VALUE <4>ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [_SB_.PCI0.SATA.SECN.MAST._GTF] (Node dffe6ba8), AE_AML_OPERAND_VALUE --- snap --- -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
