Summary: Bios update breaks suspend2ram on Dell Inspiron 6400
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Kernel
AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: ciriarte@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi, i have a Dell Inspiron 6400 running a Core 2 Duo T5600. It's running
openSUSE 10.2 x86_64, after installation i could suspend and resume (although
wlan and audio weren't working after resuming). Then i updated the bios from
A09 to A12 (changelog made references to battery problems) and the suspend2ram
option stopped working, all i get is this:

------------------Begin-----------------------
Preparing suspend...
Freezing cpus ...
CPU 1 is now offline
CPU1 is down
Stopping tasks:
================================================================
=================|
------------------End-----------------------

Already tried the suggestions from http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram

Any ideas?, the kernel is up to date (according to yast):
kernel-default-2.6.18.2-34 (last entry on the changelog: 27/Nov/2006)
