https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229237 trenn@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX ------- Comment #13 from trenn@novell.com 2007-02-05 08:06 MST ------- This message sounds suspicous: Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic" Can you try the lapic boot option. It's also worth trying: pci=noacpi noapic (maybe this one also with maxcpus=0) With those you should still get acpi functionality. Older machines which are at the edge of blacklisting apic/acpi sometimes need fiddeling with those params. If one of them works, it would be nice if you could place a hint for others here, describing the laptop/hardware you have: http://www.opensuse.org/ If none of them works, please reopen. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
