https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=166912 schuetzm@gmx.net changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|WORKSFORME | ------- Comment #13 from schuetzm@gmx.net 2007-01-23 10:43 MST ------- This will quite certainly not solve anything. First of all, here is the relevant code from /etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/ifdown-connection (although this is from 10.1, right now I don't have access to a 10.2 machine): if [ "$CONNECTION_UMOUNT_NFS_BEFORE_IFDOWN" = "yes" ]; then nfscheck for MTP in $ALLMTP; do debug && fuser -auvm $MTP fuser $FIRST_SIGNAL -k -m $MTP umount -v $MTP done fi Here, fuser is called before unmounting, which will again wait forever stat()'ing the mount point. Further, umount is called without -f, which probably means that it won't work if the connection is already gone (e.g. network cable removed, connection closed by ISP etc.). Secondly, the bug is there in the _default configuration_. I still think that the right solution is to fix the cause of the hang, namely the stat() in fuser which is totally unnecessary unless -m is specified. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
