https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=226743 Summary: yast2 printer starts ptal even if hplip is in use Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 5 Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: jsmeix@novell.com QAContact: mzugec@novell.com I have queues which use hplip and ptal --------------------------------------------------------------------- caps:~ # lpstat -v device for lj1220hpijs: ptal:/mlc:usb:HP_LaserJet_1220 device for lj1220ps: hp:/usb/HP_LaserJet_1220?serial=00XXXXXXXXXX --------------------------------------------------------------------- but I have only hplip enabled (i.e. "insserved") and running because hplip and ptal exclude each other. Nevertheless yast2 printer starts ptal even if hplip is running when I only start yast2 printer and [Finish] it without doing any change. I know that normally there should not be queues which use ptal and hplip but nevertheless YaST must check for such conflicts and show a warning message. In any case YaST must ask at least for user-confirmation before whatever additional service is started. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
