https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225705 Summary: order of fstab-entries is not checked before writing it to the hdd during installation Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I used the expert-module during installation to add some mountpoints manually, i.e. /home/user/somedir. Some of those partitions were not mounted after the first re-boot. The reason was that their fstab-entries were above / and /home. After I re-arranged them it worked fine. Because this is a bug in the Goldmaster, there should be an online-update that checks the order of fstab. For future releases this should be done before fstab is written to the hdd. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
