https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=225622 Summary: something inside rpm tries to edit spec files with sed and fails Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Noticed the following while building a package with rpmbuild from rpm-4.4.2-75: Finding Provides: /usr/lib/rpm/find-provides test Finding Requires: /usr/lib/rpm/find-requires test sed: can't read /usr/src/packages/SOURCES/test.spec: No such file or directory Finding Supplements: /usr/lib/rpm/find-supplements test Requires(rpmlib): rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 Something obviously tries to edit my spec file with sed, but fails because it looks inside %_sourcedir instead of %_specdir. Just for fun, I copied my spec file to %_sourcedir. Now it doesn't complain anymore about not finding the spec file, but it has not changed anything in the spec file either. I tend to blame /usr/lib/rpm/find-supplements.ksyms. That one doesn't seem to edit anything, but it could look at %_specdir in addition to %_sourcedir in order to actually work the way it's intended to work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
